Accounting

Ericksen Krentel CPAs and Consultants has welcomed Chris Barnett as a senior accountant in the firm’s accounting and audit services section; Franziska Wagner as a staff accountant in the firm’s accounting and audit services section; Ericha Chaney as a staff accountant in the firm’s tax services section; and Maysa Alassal, Audrey Cazenave, Quen Smith and Danielle Thomas as client accounting services associates.

Moe Iqbal and Elissa McIntyre have been hired as senior accountants in Hannis T. Bourgeois’ New Orleans office. Rachel Schulz has been promoted from supervisor to manager in the firm’s audit practice.

Mariah Weinand has joined Gambel Communications as a communications strategist.

Olivia Parker has been hired as Peter Mayer Advertising’s newest marketing analyst, Wade Louque has been hired as an I.T. technician and David Ambrogio is the firm’s newest paid search associate.

James Lambert, founder of James Lambert Consulting, has received the Public Relations Association of Louisiana New Orleans Chapter Ember Award for Rising Professional in Public Relations.

Architecture

Kelsey Chappuis has joined NANO Architecture | Interiors as an interior designer. The company has promoted Samantha Johnson to project team manager.

Sizeler Thompson Brown Architects has hired Sandral Richardson as an administrative professional.

Banking/Financial Services

Longtime Metairie Bank employee Ray Markase has retired. Glenda Grabert has been promoted to vice president, human resources director and will also continue to fulfill her corporate training responsibilities as well as some of the duties for facilities management. Metairie Bank chief financial officer John LeBlanc will assume duties as the bank’s security information officer, as well as some of the responsibility for management of facilities. Metairie Bank compliance officer Monica Dupeire will add security officer to her duties.

Education

Stephanie Cheng and Lisa LaViers have been named assistant professors of accounting at Tulane University’s A.B. Freeman School of Business. Lara White has been named professor of practice in business and legal studies and executive director, executive and professional education.

Haydee Bazan, professor of neuroscience, ophthalmology, biochemistry and molecular biology at LSU Health New Orleans School of Medicine, will be inducted into the Association for Research in Vision and Ophthalmology Fellows Class of 2019 as a Gold Fellow in the spring.

Andrew Woodroof and David LeBreton, senior project managers at Digital Engineering, have been promoted to firm profit partners.
